Q & A's:

Q: When should the urine be collected for OVUQUICK test?
A: Between 6-8PM

Q: How should I read the results for my OVUQUICK test?
A: A pink-to purple Test Line (next to the letter "T") that is DARKER than the Reference Line (next to the letter "R") indicates a POSITIVE result. If the Test Line is either LIGHTER than the Reference Line (or no Test Line at all), or THE SAME COLOR as the Reference Line, the test indicates a negative result.

Q: What do I do for different results?
A: For a negative result, continue testing next evening. For Equivocal result (equal reference line), collect 2nd urine sample at 10PM and repeat testing, and for a positive result, proceed with the postcoital test or insemination as Dr. Spirtos indicated.

Q: What should I do for a postcoital test?
A: When your OVUQUICK has demonstarted your LH surge, please call the office the next morning between 7-8AM to schedule your postcoital test. If LH surge occurs on a weekend (Fri. or Sat. night), please call the recorder and come to the office at 8:30AM for your postcoital test.

Q: What should I do for an insemination?
A: When your OVUQUICK has demonstarted your LH surge, call and leave a message on our recorder. Have your semen sample at our office between 7-7:15 AM the next morning. Either collect the specimenn in our office or keep it at body temperature during transport. (Preferably arriving within one hour of collection.) All inseminations will be reformed between 8:15-8:30AM.

If you are using DONOR INSEMINATION, call the recorder and tell us that you are using donor sperm. Be sure to indicate what donor number you are using. Arrive at the office at 8:15 AM the following morning for insemination.

Monitored Cycle
Clomid, and Serophene checks should be scheduled approximately two (2) weeks after your LH surge or insemination.

Progesterone Vaginal Suppositories are to be used starting the second day after your LH surge or the day after your last insemination (1 suppository/day for 2 weeks).

Endometrial Biopsy. When your OVUQUICK demonstartes your LH surge, call the office to schedule your blood to be drawn for progesterone levels (4,6,8 days after your LH surge). At the same time schedule your endometrial biopsy (12 days after your LH surge).* You will need to have a pregnancy test one day before or the morning of your biopsy.
